I came across a random blog which had an entry similar to this one here.
i wasn't tagged but i figured i could start this up here. i thought it'd be cool.
So the way you play is:
1. Pick up the nearest book (with at least 123 pgs.)
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next 3 sentences.
5. Tag 5 people.
The nearest book i found was Choke by Chuck Palahniuk
The fifth sentence on page 123:
If there was a girl you liked," I say to him, "if she wanted to have sex just so she could get pregnant, would you?"
wow...what a way to bring you into this book huh?
and the next three sentences are:
Ursula grabs her skirts up and comes stomping through the cow poop in her wooden clogs. She kicks a blind chicken that's in her way. Somebody snaps her picture, kicking.
If that doesn't make you want to read this book, i don't know what else could. :-) just kidding, although it was a really good book. A little twisted, though it is written by chuck Palahniuk, the guy who wrote the book turned movie, Fight Club, which starred Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
So, there you have it. And now...to pass it on to 5 unsuspecting victims. :smiles:

Hi Tony,
This is Angela from "And then there were four..."
I'm so glad someone did the book tag thing. I didn't have anyone to "tag" so that's is cool that you are carrying it on! FYI, I loved your beer quote from Cheers...I'll have to tell my husband that one.
Thanks for your sweet comments about my kids, and yes, we do live on a small farm. We have 30 acres with a few barns and sheds. We both grew up on farms here in Texas and wanted our kids to have that experience, too. It gets crazy sometimes, but it's fun!
Cool game! Here's mine...
Book: Einstein's Dreams
5th Sentence:
From the urgency in his voice and the look in his eyes, the woman knew he meant soon.
Next 3:
So she waits for him, not impatiently, passing the time with a book. Some time later, perhaps on the following day, he arrives, they lock arms, walk to the gardens, stroll by the groupings of tulips, roses, martagon lilies, alpine columbines, sit on a white cedar bench for an unmeasurable time. Evening comes, marked by a change in the light, a reddening of the sky. The man and woman follow a winding path of small white stones to a restaurant on a hill.
(This passage doesn't do the book justice except in its randomness)
Great book! One of my favorites from Chuck, along with Survivor and Lullaby. Oddly enough, not so much with Fight Club. Liked the movie better.
