Today I had my midterm in Western Civ. II. I think i did fairly well, and from what i hear my professor is a lenient grader. Lets hope i did good. After my test was over i sat in the lobby and waited for rae to come get me. While doing so, a random guy walks up to me and asks to swap a dollar of his for one of mine because his wasn't working in the vending machines. I'm a generous guy, so i said yeah. It was an even swap, i had nothing to lose. I took his dollar straightened it out and popped it into the soda machine. First time around, it wouldn't stay in. Second time, it stayed, but registered as a 5 dollar bill. AMAZING! i just gained 4 dollars by being a nice guy and potentially risking a dollar i could've spent in the vending machine had it not stayed in. I figured it was only fair and I gave him 2 dollars out of the 4. I had nothing to lose. I was just gaining 2 dollars instead of 4. He was in such shock that he thanked me a million times and said that he was really thirsty and now he could get something to drink.
Good Deed of the day #1.
After this we went to Rae's moms house. She needed me to help her in picking up chairs from the store for her baby shower tomorrow. I really don't like the woman, but in a year or so, she may be my mother in law, so i agreed to help. But only as a favor to Rae. We took a ride over to the party rental place and picked up the 25 chairs and transported them to her house. It was quick and painless. No harm done.
Good Deed of the day #2
We had time to kill, so we went to Chuck and Tiff's house where my car has been abandoned in the parking lot for almost a year now and took some initiative. We cleaned it out to get it ready for donation. Well, semi-donation. I ended up getting $100 for it and the rest was used for scrap metal. Pretty sweet deal for both parties here. I now had a hundred bucks to go buy some alcohol and celebrate. What was I celebrating, you ask? The departure of my beloved 1998 Lincoln Town Car. You see, coming from Irish heritage, us "Mick's" drink a little alcohol to celebrate all occasions. Birth, Death, and Life as a whole. So, we picked up a bottle of Silver Patron and some Coors Light and headed for Chuck and Tiff's apartment.
Good Deed of the day #3
I think i was in pretty good shape for the day. 3 good deeds in one day. probably a record for the month. although, i'm not really counting the deeds, because they come from the heart. I don't do it for my own self-gratification.
At Chuck and Tiff's house we ordered food, drank, and watched No Country for Old Men. A very good movie, but i didn't like the ending to much. Altogether though, it was a great movie though. It was a comedy, a horror and a suspense film all rolled up into one. You should go rent it. It's definitely worth the viewing.
Speaking of being Irish, i plan on hitting up this bar in Highland Park, NJ. i heard that every year they bring in bag pipes and a full irish style band. it should be fun.
Anyone else doing anything interesting this St. Patrick's Day?
as always, comments are encouraged and appreciated.
well, good night to all, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

On an interesting note, I live about 20 miles from Dublin, Texas...the Irish capital of Texas. So, that's cool that you're Irish.
I tagged you on my blog..it's a fun tag on "10 Weird Things about You"....
